Teaching Personnel are currently working with two specialist SEN schools situated in Lichfield and Tamworth who are looking to recruit four Support workers to work as SEN Teaching assistants. These roles are initially advertised on a temporary basis for,where they will then be advertised as permanent posts.
As a SEN Support Worker working in a school, you will work with a wide range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, which leads to interaction or communication difficulties. Due to the specific needs of the pupils, relevant practical experiencewith vulnerable individuals is relevant as well as having a positive can-do attitude and work ethic.
Supporting children with learning difficulties and disabilities important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams. As you help our children and young people achieve real and significantprogress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.
Who we are looking for
You don’t need specific school experience to join our team. If you have relevant experience like the below examples, then this role is for you:
- Care sector background
- Working or supporting individuals with SEN / behaviour or learning difficulties with young / old vulnerable individuals
- Eager to help vulnerable children and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives.
We will provide you with full training and development to succeed within your role.
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising childrenas they explore further afield.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
