**Role**:Assistant Director of Studies (ADoS) (residential)

**Salary**:£513.70 - £538.70 per week (this is inclusive of full board and accommodation to the total of £63.70 per week.), therefore you will receive £450-£475/per week gross. Plus paid induction programme. You are entitled to the equivalent of 5.6 weeks' paid holiday per holiday year calculated on a pro-rata basis. This includes public holidays in England and Wales.

**Hours**:You are required to work such hours as are reasonably required to carry out your role effectively. Your normal hours of work are 48 per week over a six-day week.

International House London is a non-profit-making educational trust committed to raising the standard of English language teaching and training worldwide. We are seeking dedicated staff for our four **Young Learners **schools located in **Oxford, Cambridge and Frensham **for Summer 2023. All summer programmes are based in outstanding boarding schools or colleges with beautiful grounds and exceptional facilities ideal for multi-national young learners.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The **Assistant Director of Studies (ADoS)** is responsible for assisting the Director of Studies in the academic management of the Young Learner centre; key elements of this role include inducting and supporting teachers, overseeing the placement of students, delivering CPD sessions for academic staff, observing lessons and ensuring high level of teaching standards across all classes.

The ideal Assistant Director of Studies will be conscientious and organised with a high regard and understanding in the area of educating international Young Learners. They will have some experience of managing a team of teachers and delivering effective teacher training.

The role of Assistant Director of Studies is not restricted to the academic programme and at International House London we expect all of our staff to fully engage in all aspects of the programme to ensure the maximum enjoyment and safety of students whilst participating in our Young Learner course.

**CONTRACT LENGTH**:
From four to eight weeks, depending on location. More information will be available at the interview stage.

**Desirable**
- First aid training
- Safeguarding training
- Have experience delivering social programmes in residential environments*
- Have previous experience teaching Young Learners*
- Hold DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL, MA or QTS*
