**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Careers Adviser to join the Careers team at Edge Hill University’s award-winning campus.

As Careers Adviser, with a departmental caseload you will be at the forefront of implementing bespoke projects and plans, working alongside academic colleagues to ensure all students have access to appropriate careers support and guidance both within and outside of the curriculum. You will also ensure that our students and recent graduates receive the best careers support possible to develop their potential, realise their aspirations and achieve positive graduate employment outcomes.

This will also include the delivery of careers guidance appointments in our interview space in Catalyst and delivering universal career and employability skills workshops, both in person from our exclusive Careers Corner in Catalyst and online.

You will be expected to deliver these appointments in a range of formats including face to face, online and telephone. Additional responsibilities of the role include providing support via eguidance using our Careers Platform (Target Connect).

**About You**

As a Careers Adviser, you will have successful experience of working in Higher Education, with strong knowledge and experience of working as a Careers Adviser including an understanding of how careers issues in Higher Education impact on the employability agenda, modern graduate recruitment and selection techniques and current careers and employability initiatives.

You will be engaging, enthusiastic, student focused and have successful motivation skills especially in relation to working with students and recent graduates and engaging them in careers and employability activities. With exceptional organisation and planning skills, you will lead on the planning and successful delivery of bespoke departmental employability events and activities. As well as holding a strong understanding and awareness of the impact that Graduate Outcomes, TEF and B3 metrics will have on Higher Education Careers services.

You will demonstrate evidence of excellence and innovative practice in the delivery of careers advice and guidance. You will be experienced in teaching graduate recruitment and selection techniques and supporting individuals into successful graduate employment outcomes. An inclusive practitioner, you will have experience of meeting the needs of students from all backgrounds. And, above all, you will be a strong team player who can work flexibly across the careers team and develop effective working relationships at all levels, including with key stakeholders and academic colleagues.

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
