Job Overview:
We are looking for a new Purchasing Administrator to join our Procurement team, this role has superb long-term career prospects and the chance to be part of excellent company growth.

The role of Purchasing Administrator will involve helping to source materials, obtaining quotations from preferred suppliers, and raising purchase orders and general administration duties to support the Buyer.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Purchasing Administrator:

- Maintaining the internal database with updated prices and products as necessary
- Manage supplier files, ensuring the most current and up to date information is on file
- Managing purchase orders
- Communication with suppliers and ensuring that lead times are accurate and met
- Ensuring orders are progressed and received within the correct timescales to meet the production schedule.
- Communicate directly with Suppliers to expedite Purchase Orders
- Building of strategic partnerships with key Suppliers and service providers.
- Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new subcontractors & suppliers, coordinate and process any New Supplier Approvals.
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
- Complete general administrative tasks for the purchasing department.

Minimum Experience Required:

- Strong attention to detail
- Have strong IT skills including Excel
- Be a great team player with a friendly and polite personality
- Have good time management skills
- The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
- Excellent communication skills
- Understand end to end purchasing cycle and implement this during working practice

Desirable:

- Experience within purchasing administration role.
- Background within a manufacturing environment.

Working hours of:
Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 17.15 PM

Friday 9.00-16.15 PM

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
