**Job summary**:
We are hiring an Analytical Support Officer to join our Risk Assessment, Selection and Forecasting team.

The Risk Assessment, Selection and Forecasting (RASAF) team is responsible for forecasting and selecting providers for inspections.

Analytical Support Officers within the RASAF team usually specialise in one remit area:
schools, further education and skills, early years, or social care.

They develop expertise in the data for their remit area; develop the technical skills to extract, quality assure and analyse data appropriately; develop an understanding of the policy context; and deliver high quality outputs.

Proficiency in Excel is desirable, both for analysis and inspection selection. Experience in R, SQL or similar coding languages is advantageous, both for extraction of relevant data for analysis and for inspection forecasting purposes.
