Would you like to lead the continuous improvement of patient care as part of the Quality Improvement team at Birmingham Women's and Children's? We are a dynamic and responsive team made up of staff from a range of clinical and non-clinical improvement backgrounds. The team has a strong reputation for supporting QI activity from Board to ward level and delivering high quality training and coaching to all staff groups.

Responsible for working directly with senior leaders across the organisation to prioritise areas for improvement in line with the Trust strategy
Responsible for the delivery of a number of complex quality improvement change projects requiring senior level engagement
Development and delivery of quality improvement (QI) training and coaching across the organisation to senior leaders
To manage a defined range of work streams and projects generating project documentation and reports as appropriate
To develop a culture of quality improvement across the organisation
The position requires high levels of judgement, analysis and interaction to drive clear solutions and recommendations that the post holder will be responsible for implementing within the remit of the defined projects.
To provide effective and innovative leadership and management, ensuring clear direction concerning service improvement and effective utilisation of resources.
To use the Trusts project management and quality improvement methodology to plan and manage multiple projects so as to maximise the likelihood of their success.
To identify and work autonomously on projects, to drive forward and manage milestones and key deliverables.
To monitor risks and slippage and escalate issues where deliverables cannot be met, but with well-considered mitigation options.
