**Senior Commercial Officer (Inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 6 months**

**Contracting Authority: DEFRA***

**Location: Weybridge - Hybrid 60% office attendance**

**As a Senior Commercial Officer your main responsibilities will be**:

- Deliver and support in delivery of projects, procurements and contract / supplier management roles across the full Commercial DNA providing functional / specialist input to improve ways of working and business change & efficiency.
- Responsible for explaining specialist Commercial guidance to operational teams in order to influence compliance with Defra policy / legislation / best practice ways of working and contribute to the delivery of business plans.
- Keep up to date on changing legislation / best practice externally, to inform internal priorities and appropriate alignment.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and development of team capability

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Managing Procurements through the whole lifecycle NEC3/4 Contracts
- Construction experience and or FM experience
- Running a competitive tender process
- Contract Management
- CCS frameworks experience
- Taking on Multiple procurements at one time
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment and a Self-starter
- Public Sector Procurement Knowledge
- Experience of using E-procurement systems (Atamis)
- Stakeholder engagement
- MCIPS and or RICS highly desirable
