Norwich, United Kingdom Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust Full time

An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to work within our clinical leadership team. Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is an enhanced Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service which is delivered as part of a well-established partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), Mind and Relate.

We provide high volume, evidence-based psychosocial treatments for people aged 16 upwards with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood.

We are a large and expanding service, we plan to work more with people that have long term physical conditions (LTCs) alongside common mental health problems.

This year we will offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions to over 30,000 people. The Lead PWP plays a key role in ensuring that our Step 2 interventions are delivered in line with national guidance, in order to help us meet the Key Performance Indicators of an IAPT service.

We have worked from home during the pandemic, but we are gradually moving back to face to face working whilst retaining some of the positives of remote working where appropriate.

We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about the value of Step 2 interventions, have strong leadership skills, are an excellent communicator, self-motivated and committed to delivering a high standard of care. The post holder will play a significant role in the delivery of the Low Intensity part of the service, and will work as part of the Clinical Leadership Team.

The role will include supporting and line managing our growing team of Senior PWPs, to ensure that case management and skills supervision remains of the highest standard, and that our PWPs are supported and enabled to develop their clinical skills. You will also hold a small caseload of clients, delivering clinical interventions for up to one day per week.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of providing high volume, evidence-based practice in guided self-help using telephone, workshops and other methods of delivery, as well as an ability to lead others in a challenging environment
