**JOB SUMMARY**
Day to day organisation and operation of the Reception Desk to include access control, daily payment transactions, verbal and written communication, administration, Centre bookings and membership sales. Develop a good professional relationship with all members, their guests and the general public. To assist with administration duties as required.

**KEY TASKS**
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To follow all written procedures as given in the relevant manuals.
- To at all times represent Aspire in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- To maintain the appropriate attitude to reflect and promote the image of Aspire.
- Provide the highest possible standard of service in order to maintain customer satisfaction, including handling of enquiries or queries.
- Provide support to all other areas within Aspire.
- To be knowledgeable about all services provided by Aspire
- To provide sales support to the Customer Services Team Leader
- To provide good quality customer care at all times, dealing with customer dissatisfaction and reporting serious complaints to management
- To support the Customer Service Team Leader in the carrying out of membership promotions
- Perform any other duties as directed by management.

**CLEANING & MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain up to date service records for all Reception equipment.
- Conduct regular cleaning duties in all areas of the Reception to provide an exemplary standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Maintain a high standard of tidiness at all times in all Reception areas.
- Ensure the appropriate handling of recording, storing and collection of lost property.

**TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Process all daily transactions accurately to ensure correct till balancing, including payment methods.
- Ensure floats are correct at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist the Duty Manager with end of shift cashing up.
- Give high standards of verbal and written communication, including public announcements.
- Maintain the administration of Centre bookings.
- Ensure the accurate processing of member details on the centres leisure management system.
- To handle prospects as per written procedure
- To meet monthly membership upgrade targets
- To assist the Customer Service Team Leader in meeting monthly sales targets
- To carry out show rounds to prospects while on call in back office

**MEMBERSHIP ADMINISTRATION**:

- Control of membership sales on membership database
- Process cancellations and freezing of memberships
- Answering telephone calls and returning member calls
- Following up on member enquiries
- Contacting members who membership is due to expire.
- Perform outreach work in the local community as and when required

**GENERAL INFORMATION**
All staff are required to commit to Aspire’s aim of working with spinally injured people to help achieve independence and integration. Aspire is funded by donations from the public and receives no statutory funding from the government.
All employees have a duty of responsibility to comply with all statutory regulations

including the Health and Safety at Work Act. A full copy is available from the
Director of Operations.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Proactive and independent working attitude

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in a busy reception/office environment
- Experience of working in the leisure industry
- Experience of working with disabled people
- Previous experience making/receiving sales calls

**Salary**: £19,760.00-£21,673.00 per year
