Jigsaw Trust is a charity that oversees a School and Adult Centre, providing care and services for individuals with Autism. The role of Site Assistant plays a vital part in the Trust by maintaining high standards of work to create a clean, welcoming, safe and secure environment for pupils, clients, staff and visitors. The site Assistant will provide both routine and emergency support in all areas of maintenance, security and facilities. Join our friendly team and you can make a difference

**How will you contribute to the team?**
- Monitoring, logging and responding to maintenance job requests ensuring completion of works to a high standard
- Providing maintenance and cleaning support both proactively and reactively and repairing resources in classrooms and learning spaces as necessary
- Undertaking regular site audits to ensure standards of the facilities are maintained and any that any basic maintenance requirements are actioned
- Taking responsibility for locking and unlocking the premises, putting safety measures into place where needed and communicating accordingly
- Assisting with daily taxis and parent transport movements and site vehicle access and movement to ensure these run smoothly
- Maintaining outdoor spaces ensuring they are clean, safe and pleasant
- Carrying out the movement of deliveries, furniture and equipment within the site whilst supervising any visiting contractors
- Carrying out statutory testing requirements for example Fire, and Water Systems, keeping accurate records, reports and checklists

**What will you need?**
- Experience of undertaking a range of general cleaning and maintenance duties to a high standard
- An ability to work flexibly with mínimal supervision
- Be able to perform tasks of a physical, sometimes demanding, nature including twisting and stooping
- A full driving license with the ability to drive manual gearbox vehicles is essential
- Experience in a similar setting would be advantageous

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
