As we enter 2024 we will be topping over 1000 employees here at Mamas & Papas across our UK & ROI portfolio of over 60 Mamas & Papas Stores & Concession, and our Huddersfield Head office and Warehouse/Distribution hub.
As we continue to advance our Health & Safety to even further heights, and sitting within our Compliance & Sustainability team we are looking to recruit a **HEALTH, SAFETY & WELLBEING Coordinator (with elements of Sustainability within).**
**The role of Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator**
**Covering these two key areas you will**
**Health and Safety**
- Promote a positive organisational culture which puts our people first by working with management teams and colleagues across HO, Warehouse and Retail
- Support/carry out risk assessments with management teams
- Working with authorities on reporting accidents and incidents
- Compiling statistic reports for internal use to identify trends and risks
- Creating and implementing programmes to manage risk i.e. violence and aggression, wellbeing, mental health
- Maintaining and setting up records for documentation
- Managing and processing accident, incident and near miss data received from the business to identify trends where further controls may need to be implemented
- Carrying out inspections and audits
- Providing support to colleagues through creating reactive and proactive guidance i.e. toolbox talks, safety communications, awareness sessions
- Review actions outstanding and communicate with interested parties on these to enable timely completion
As a new area you will be developed and trained in Sustainability & Compliance, as we continue to go on our own unique journey as a business focused on providing a healthy & sustainable future for generations to come.
**Sustainability**
- Working with internal teams to gather data for submission to authorities and compliance schemes on Plastic Tax, Packaging Waste, Electrical Waste and Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting
- Organising Future Conscious events at our HO which includes liaising with external partners to deliver our initiatives
- Providing support and advice to colleagues to ensure risks and opportunities are identified and controlled
- Creating and implementing initiatives that help to deliver our Sustainability programme i.e. energy campaign, volunteering, carpooling
- Participating and helping drive a positive collaborative culture through co-ordination of meetings across functions and taking minutes where needed
- Review actions outstanding and communicate with interested parties on these to enable timely completion
