**Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer - your job will involve**:

- Be a champion for Risk and Compliance in Chip’s Executive Committee (ExCo) and on the Chip Board
- Strategic input into company strategy across all activities and deliverables
- Lead the Risk & Compliance Team
- Take a pragmatic approach to achieving good outcomes in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving award-winning FinTech
- This role will be a Senior Manager role within the senior manager and certification

**Chief Compliance Officer (including Risk, MLRO and DPO) responsibilities**:

- Provide the business and the Board an independent assessment of the risks Chip faces and advise on general compliance with laws, regulatory rules and guidance;
- Ensure appropriate support is in place for new products, features and projects;
- Ensure new products (including the distribution of new investment products) are rolled out, managed, and overseen in line with the Product Governance Framework i.e. Target Market, TCF etc. Ensure Chip has appropriate regulatory permissions to carry on existing business (and to launch new business);
- Maintain effective third-party regulatory and strategic partner relationships;
- Ownership of regulatory relationships and inquiries.
- Act as PSD Individual, Approved Person or SMF where needed;
- Ownership of the Risk Management Framework. Develop and implement strong policies, standards and procedures including Conduct Risk Management and Consumer Duty. Regulatory Horizon Scanning;
- Overall ownership of the Risk Assessment and Compliance Monitoring and Testing programs;
- Work closely with relevant teams to ensure effective first-line controls are in place and that managers are certifying and reporting on those controls;
- Oversight of Financial Promotions Compliance, Complaints Management, Approved Person/PSD Individual/SMCR, Controllers, Regulatory Capital, Regulatory Reporting programs and Whistleblower process;
- Close Oversight of and support for Operational Risk Management (including Technology and Security risk, Operational Resilience, Incident Management and Outsourcing);
**Duties as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”)**
- Overseeing the implementation of our risk-based approach to Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorist Financing including our policies, standards and procedures;
- Ensuring that the firm's wider responsibility for preventing money laundering and terrorist financing is addressed centrally, allowing a firm-wide view to be taken of the need for monitoring and accountability;
- As Nominated Officer receiving and assessing internal suspicious notifications and making reports to Chip’s regulatory principals or the National Crime Agency (NCA);

**Duties as Data Privacy Officer**
- Inform and advise the organisation and its employees about their obligations to comply with the GDPR and other data protection laws;
- Monitor compliance with the GDPR and other data protection laws, including managing internal data protection activities;
