Head of Patient Care

Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom Holderness Health Full time

**Job summary**

Help us build a healthy future for our community. We’re a large general practice and Primary Care Network with big plans for the future and are looking for someone to help us deliver them. If you share our values of collaboration, integrity, quality, respect and wellbeing and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.

This role will suit you if you want to:

- Work for a practice with exciting plans for the future and are keen to try new things
- Use your skills and knowledge to the full, stretching yourself to learn and develop further
- Help shape the future of general practice locally
- Be a decision-maker and a driving force for positive change
Our new Head of Patient Care will be responsible for the operational management of our patient services - designing services, supporting and developing our clinicians, ensuring quality and safety and making the best use of our resources. Alongside our CEO and Senior Management Team, you will also play a key leadership role.

The hours for this role will be 30 - 37.5 per week, to be worked over a 4 or 5 day week. The exact working pattern to be agreed.

**Main duties of the job**

We are looking for an experienced manager with a track record of working at senior level and of leading multidisciplinary teams. Ideally, you will have experience of general practice, possibly as a Practice Manager or as a clinician yourself but the skills we are seeking could also come from an alternative career path. Above all, you must be focused on delivering outstanding care for our patients. You will bring a wide range of knowledge and skills to the role and be confident making decisions, leading change and effectively managing a clinical service.

You will need energy, drive and resilience as well as the ability to deliver under pressure. You will be proactive rather than reactive and constantly looking for ways to empower and develop your team.

More information can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification.
