An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Equine Nursing Assistant to join the team at our equine clinic in Morpeth, Northumberland. You will need to be motivated, proactive and work well within a team.

**The role**

The successful applicant must be proactive, hardworking and motivated with good horse handling skills and although some experience within a veterinary setting would be useful, in-house training in all aspects of the equine veterinary nursing will be provided. The role also involves processing equine insurance claims and booking equine appointments and dealing with clients over the phone and on a face-to-face basis.

You will be passionate about horse welfare, have a high attention to detail, be hardworking and thrive on being part of a busy team.
- maintain the equine stables to a high standard, with previous experience desirable but not required
- assist the vets with yard visits
- be confident in handling horses
- communicate confidently and effectively
- be flexible and able to work overtime where required
- demonstrate a good level of computer literacy
- the ability to multi task

The job role is part time: 4 hour days, 20 hour working week Monday to Friday with overtime.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with previous experience, but full training will be given, so if you’re passionate, reliable and can do the role as detailed above, we’d love to hear from you
