Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Spectrum Community Health CIC. As a Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for the daily management, coordination, and delivery of evidence-based care in a secure setting focusing on substance misuse and primary care.

You will provide strong clinical leadership to the nursing team, including shift planning, staffing levels, and workload prioritization. You will also be involved in providing and supervising holistic care for patients, working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure optimal care.

Main Duties
  • Lead the nursing team in providing evidence-based care and supervising the delivery of holistic care for patients.
  • Develop and implement clinical governance strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assess, provide advice, and administer evidence-based care as appropriate to patients within Health & Justice.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated prison healthcare services and demonstrate knowledge, skills, and understanding of health issues and evidence-based treatment options.

Person Specification
  • Registered General Nurse Level 1
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and delivery of evidence-based care
  • Independent Nurse/Supplementary/Non-Medical Prescriber qualification or willingness to undertake
  • Appropriate management qualification of equivalent experience
  • RCGP Cert 1/2 Primary Care/LTC qualification
