An opportunity has come up with in the Neurological Clinical Specialist team.

If you are a dynamic, forward thinking, motivated practitioner with experience and an interest in working with clients with Epilepsy then this could be the job for you.

Based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes you will be working within the neuro clinical specialist team and alongside a team of skilled therapists who have a wealth of experience and expertise in providing specialist support, advice and information to clients with Neurological Conditions.

You will lead on assessing/ reviewing Epilepsy service users and working along side other health and social care colleagues (including the MKUH Epilepsy nurse and Neurologists) to ensure patient's needs are identified and they are able to access appropriate services.

There are opportunities for continual professional development and regular supervision is provided.

Post holder should have experience in working with service users with Epilepsy and an awareness of relevant guidelines.

Non-medical prescribing is not essential for the role but is desirable.

There will be regular supervision provided.

Applicants must be a car driver and owner.

To act as a Specialist in Epilepsy to promote best practice in the treatment and care of people with Epilepsy.

To take the lead in providing a seamless, high quality service to adults with Epilepsy throughout MK community in partnership with the Milton Keynes University Hospital Trust (MKUHT) Epilepsy Specialist Nurse.

To provide support, advice and education to patients, families and carers.

To undertake research/audits into Epilepsy and continuing personal and professional development.
