We’re now looking for someone to join the finance team as an Assistant Business Controller to cover a period of maternity leave. The main purpose of the Assistant Business Controller is to provide leadership and support in the day to day running of the Finance & Administration department. To assist in providing business focused controller services to the company to satisfy reporting requirements, identify opportunities for improvement and to add value to the organisation.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Assistant Business Controller will provide leadership and support to the Finance and Administration team and oversee all day-to-day transactional activities including dispatch, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

Other duties include; ensuring that monthly reporting is completed accurately and within Sandvik Group deadlines, preparation of monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing detailed commentary on the business performance and presenting results to key stakeholders, supporting the preparation and submission of budgets and forecasts, taking the lead on external audits and taking the lead with systems and process improvement initiatives.

The role will also involve ensuring VAT compliance including the completion and submission of VAT returns, providing periodic updates on investment project expenditure, and leading on project review processes, supporting department managers and their teams with cost review activities, and developing and maintaining systems to measure, record and report business KPI’s.
