Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Healthcare Translation Expert. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the vital work of Swansea Bay UHB and champion agile working in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English, with experience of using professional translation software. A good level of general education, including a degree in Welsh or a relevant field, is also essential. Additionally, experience of working as part of a team in an office environment and using Microsoft Office/365 is desirable.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including the coordination of the workflow of the translation unit, liaison with colleagues in multiple departments, and support for the translation team. You will also assist in the design and implementation of a programme to raise awareness of the Welsh language and contribute to team meetings. Furthermore, you will assist in the creation and/or translation of Welsh and/or bilingual content for use on our internet/intranet sites and social media channels. Finally, you will build and foster good working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Health Board and maintain departmental stock control regarding materials needed for Welsh Language Service.
