**Job Description**:
We are actively recruiting for an Office/Accounts Manager to work for a manufacturing company in Washington. You will be joining a small, friendly team in a fast paced, growing environment. The position is to initially cover an maternity leave however there is possibility for the role to be made permanent.

**The role is open to a full time worker or a part time employee working 3-4 days.**

**Immediate start date.**

As a Office/Accounts Manager, reporting to the FD, you will manage the general day-to-day running of the finance department in addition to collaborating with and aiding the rest of the management team with any reporting requirements. In this pivotal role, you will oversee cost tracking, financial reporting, and maintenance of financial systems, therefore a broad knowledge base of financial and transactional accounting is essential and the ability to manage a finance department in a stand alone capacity (in the absence of the FD) is paramount.

**Role Responsibilities (include but not limited to)**:
Manage invoice processing, purchase orders, and reconciliation of delivery notes.
Maintain supplier accounts and conduct monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
General bookkeeping.
Daily update reports to the FD.
CIS and Retention reconciliations.
Aid with monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
Develop and enhance financial systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.

Maintenance and regular review of customer credit reports.
Accounts Receivable duties to ensure timely recovery of outstanding customer invoices.
Perform generic accountancy tasks, communicate financial information to finance and non-finance staff, and contribute to sustainability reporting.

**Required Skills & Experience**:
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a finance function.
A good working knowledge of Sage 50 is essential.
Must have rounded financial experience in all areas.
Commercial acumen with the ability to effectively communicate and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Able to work in a stand-alone environment without needing day-to-day support or guidance.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills.
Strong organisational and strategic thinking abilities.
