Perinatal Team Co-ordinator

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Team Co-ordinator to support the Perinatal Team across the South and East of the county of Lincolnshire, primarily from our bases in Boston and Grantham. The post holder will be required to provide visible leadership, alongside the current Perinatal Team Co-ordinator and the Perinatal Trauma and Loss Care Team Co-ordinator.
You will be a compassionate leader and have a strong sense of initiative, excellent team working ability and exceptional communication skills. Experience in Perinatal Mental Health is desirable, however training relevant to the post will be offered.
You must hold relevant qualifications as detailed in the Person Specification and have current professional registration with a substantial level of post qualification experience.
The Perinatal service is countywide therefore the post holder will be expected to travel to other sites in the county as required.
The post holder will support the Service Manager in providing effective frontline management of the multi-disciplinary Perinatal Mental Health Team.
In agreement with the service manager the post holder will provide leadership and in partnership working with users will ensure access to the full range of specialist assessment and interventions.

To work flexibly across a 5-day-a-week service.
Provide effective leadership to the team.
To lead the development of the service and ensure a high level of leadership within the given area of expertise to other staff within the service.
Ensure the effective deployment of staff and other resources to deliver the required service and the agreed standards. This would involve the review and management of rotas and deployment of staff.
Manage and co-ordinate all services delivered to the service user within the clinical area, optimising all available resources.
Ensure that service users are cared for within the confines of their respective Mental Health Act status and adhere to the requirements of the MHA 1983 and the corresponding Code of Practice.
To delegate aspects of the role to other members of the team whilst maintaining overall responsibility for team delivery.
To manage caseload and service delivery in accordance with and in order to contribute towards the attainment of the service/Trust productivity requirements and Quality priorities
To be compliant with CQC standards.
Protect people from abuse, neglect and harm.
To work collaboratively and promote effective working relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective and appropriate clinical decision-making, both within the Perinatal Mental Health Team and with external agencies.
To monitor clinical records of the team to ensure they are accurate and timely
To adhere to professional codes of conduct and ethics, plus associated legislation.
To develop clinical practice of the team having due regard to guidelines of the N.S.F for Mental Health N.I.C.E and Mental Health Act (1983)
To demonstrate empowering leadership skills within the Perinatal Mental Health Team and seek opportunities in local and national area as to promote and develop the profession.
