**_Recra are working in partnership_** with a leading food manufacturer, who are looking to recruit a
**Training co-ordinator** to join the team. The Training Coordinator will monitor and ensure that the Group Training policies and procedures are being implemented and maintained effectively on the site. They will work closely with and advise production management with regard to Training and be proactive in developing new training initiatives to meet the demands of a fast-changing industry. This role will also be responsible for overseeing a team of 7 Trainers on site.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- To regularly audit the Trainers on site to ensure staff are being trained and retrained effectively and within Group policies and procedures, providing feedback and advice to Senior Management.
- To communicate effectively with the production management team to remain informed at all times of pending changes, current issues, and training priorities and work towards Service Level Agreements being achieved.
- To liaise with Line Manager on any deviations, training gaps, and serious current or potential problems so as to resolve them quickly.
- Ensure PP is maintained to keep personal records up to date.
- To evaluate all training undertaken, both internally and externally, and consider the effectiveness of the trainers used.
- To assist in the selection and development of Qualified Trainers, and relief, as required to ensure they are ‘trained to train’ to the standard required by the Company.
- Investigate, arrange, and evaluate weekly and some salaried training in line with company priorities, IPR requirements, and ad hoc customer needs, within the training authorisation procedure.
- Main contact for site salaried training, working closely with the Group Learning and Development Co-ordinator.
- To facilitate the completion of the annual IPRs (weekly and salaried). Work with management to produce accurate training plans annually and maintain them ongoing.
- To manage the induction process on-site for salaried and weekly paid personnel.
- To regularly review any training records and procedures, giving priority to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions and discussing suggested amendments with Line Manager.
- To organise external site training after receiving budget authorisation.
- To manage the training approval system.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget for weekly training, selecting and updating the preferred supplier listing. To source funding as appropriate. Control and monitor training spending budget and report monthly.
- To liaise with Project Engineers and Production Management with regards to new systems, machinery, and products to ensure staff is ‘trained to train’ prior to implementation of the new item and ensure the SOP and WI are provided.
- Work with Health and Safety Officers and Technical Managers to ensure training is provided to meet Safety and Technical standards.
- Site contact for organisation of Trainee Management Development.
- To be the site contact with regards to Training and Development training programmes.
- To effectively manage initiatives on site, in line with Company policy e.g. Essential Skills, ESOL, and NVQs
- Complete Ad Hoc projects as and when required.
- To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling, etc.

**Experience required**:

- Experience in delivering training.
- Experience in training procedures.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and Word.
- Asswetive with excellent people skills.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in food manufacturing.
- Assessor qualification.
- Intermediate/advanced food safety qualification.
- Level 3 Food Safety/HACCP qualification.
