**About the Role**

The Programmes and Workshops Administrator is a new role within the Programmes & Workshops team at the Isaac Newton Institute. Reporting the to the Programmes & Visitors Coordinator, the role holder will provide administrative support to the team in order to ensure the effective and efficient management of the Institute's events and fellowships programmes.

**What you will need**

Your proven experience of managing events, meetings, and conferences will provide a solid foundation for the development of this new role at the INI in which you will develop and maintain procedures for managing the range of non-standard INI events, as well as follow existing procedures for our regular Programmes. You will be conscientious and enthusiastic, using your excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with a wide range of people, both orally and in writing, including the internal Operations Team, academic Programme Organisers and participants, eminent scientists visiting under our Fellowships schemes, and those needing extra support and care through our support schemes, such as those for visitors from developing countries and our Solidarity programme.

Your numeracy skills and acute attention to detail will be important for working with budgets and providing funding reports, as will your excellent computer literacy skills which are vital for ensuring the accuracy of the INI internal database which is the backbone of resource allocation and programme planning.

Drawing on your track record for providing excellent customer service, you will build excellent relationships with Programme Organisers, participants, and Fellows as their first point of contact, and will use your ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines to ensure that the day-to-day Programme administration and delivery of events runs smoothly, on schedule, and within budget.
