Our client is one of the UKs leading multimodal and logistics organisations now due to expansion our client is now looking for a Senior Imports Operations Clerk to be based at their Glasgow location.

Role

Your role will involve the full freight imports cycle.

Taking Bookings

Completion of shipments from start to finish.

Quotations

Freight import documentation and office administration

Customs completion

Ideally Multi Modal Freight Forwarding experience but we will consider just Trailer, Sea or Air as training will be provided

Knowledge of shipping duties & HMRC procedures within CHIEF & CDS including AEO compliance

Experience of Cargowise or similar customs system

Excellent Communication and ability to demonstrate basic team interaction and leadership skills.

Knowledge of transport industry regulations

Proactive approach to Customer Service and Account Management

Commercial and negotiating focus.

Confident user of MS Office, in particular Excel and Word

Package & Benefits

Salary range - £28,000 - £33,000 depending on level of knowledge/experience.

Holiday entitlement: 20 days rising with length of service

Pension Scheme
