We have a new **Maternity cover contract **opportunity to join Ocado Group for **12 months** as a Functional Support Manager . This role acts as the main support pillar for the Finance Directors and Finance Leadership Team and the wider employees based within the Finance Function.

The main aim of the role is to provide coordination and support to the Leadership Team by acting as a point of contact for enquiries and assisting with business issues relating to the needs of the Department and wider Team.

Our Group Finance division is based in Hatfield although this is a Hybrid role to give you some flexibility

**What will you be doing?**

Responsible for driving team engagement through communications, team events and celebrating successes

Manage the regular Finance Team communications calendar including the Finance Team events

Responsible for coordinating the preparation and dissemination of communications for the Finance Team via the people slack channels, in line with the wider internal communications strategy.

Own and rollout key projects for the Finance Directors, producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations. Always problem solving to find solutions to challenges and improve processes where possible, working in collaboration with others

Accountable for the day to day management of the Finance Functional Support Coordinator, including pay, development and performance

Supports FDs and leadership team in strategic initiatives & objectives cycle

Provide full, confidential support to the Finance Directors and the Finance Leadership Team, serving as confidante and right hand for the Finance Directors, acting as a sounding board for ideas and supporting where you can.

Facilitate andsupport the Chair / People Partner with the Finance listening champion group

Own the Finance Team onboarding experience for all new starters - the Finance Hub, communications and content, as well as gathering feedback to improve the experience

Manage the onboarding experience & induction of all new members of Finance Leadership Team
Accountable for the agenda, organisation and preparation for the regular Finance Leadership Team meetings, the COE meetings and the Strategy Days which may include (but not limited to) presentations and following up on any action points

Accountable for the administration and documentation relating to general people management of the Finance Directors and their team, e.g. absence, holidays, expenses and probationary periods

**About you..**

We are looking for a self-starter, for you to be able to work autonomously, be proactive and able to communicate confidently with individuals of all levels, including Senior Managers, Heads of Department and Directors.

Having a Product Mindset, Strong project management skills and experience in managing a team will also be advantageous to the success of this role

Partnering - a keen networker within the organisation and partner to FDs

Data Insights - accurate, able to deal with data and numbers and detail oriented

Highly organised and a master in time management, with proven experience of working within a fast paced business where prioritisation is essential

High confidentiality, "Tech savvy" and finding new and efficient ways to do things and be Advanced in Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Google Suite.

Detailed and confident in drafting communications for the people team with the support of the internal communications team

Able to generate slide decks with a brief to support the CPO and leadership team

Flexible and adaptable approach to work, to juggle a range of different tasks and acknowledge that the important nature of the role may require flexible working hours.

You will have clear English language skills, both written and verbal

Educated to a degree level is highly desirable but not essential.
