We are looking for a Recovery Worker in our Equinox service on Cherington Road.

**THE ROLE**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
- Implement the service and organisation's policies and procedures in order to deliver a high quality service using a recovery focused approach
- Provide key work, risk assessment and support planning for service users as required to help successful recovery focused achievement of their personal goals, improve their health and wellbeing and quality of life.
- To develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with service users which recognise and respond to individual needs while at the same same maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Encourage service users to establish social networks, engage with services and undertake activities to assist them to develop positive coping mechanisms and to socially integrate.
- Work with service users to support their recovery, health and wellbeing - including: attending substance use treatment services, health services, and other local services that contribute to their move-on into further treatment and/ or independent living.
- To effectively carry out a range of administrative and practical task including ensuring security of the building, collecting and recording money, monitoring and record keeping.
- To contribute to a high level of teamwork within the service, organisation and with other professionals who may be involved in an individual’s care.
- Maintain a standard of service as required by the Commissioners and Equinox in order to deliver a safe and effective service and an A grade Quality Assurance Framework score.
**ABOUT YOU**
To be successful as the Recovery Worker you will need to have a good understanding of substance misuse, homelessness and the challenges that come with this. They will have a good understanding of person-centred support, have strong boundaries and self-discipline. A passion to support those in the community that are struggling with addiction and homelessness. Ideally you will also have experience in working with and supporting vulnerable adults.
**OTHER KEY SKILLS**:
Essential
- QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent or ability to complete this qualification
- A commitment to establishing partnerships with other professionals to achieved good outcome for the client group
- Experience of conducting risk assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating risk management plans including if safeguarding risk
- Ability to engage, motivate and support service users through group and one to one interventions
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and consistently maintain high standards
- Ability to manage difficult and challenging situations with Service Users
- IT literate including Word, Outlook and basic spreadsheets
- An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers and other relevant professionals
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that priorities the needs of service users
Desirable
- Experience of working in a recovery focused environment
- Experience of conducting assessments and developing and implementing care plans
- Excellent written and communication skills
