Payroll Manager

DB Charles Recruitment are partnering with a business based in Harrow, North West London, that have identified the need to hire a new Payroll Manager to join the existing successful payroll solutions team.
The role as Payroll Manager will report directly into senior leadership and be directly managing 3 or 4 others in the team. Overall, the hired person will be managing the people process in charge of running numerous client payrolls to strict deadlines, otherkey day to day duties for the role will include:
- Team / People management
- Team upskilling
- Operational query resolution
- Operational process improvement
- Reporting & documentation
- Calculating correct amounts of pay including deductions, overtime, SSP, bonuses etc.
- Deducting correct amounts of pension contributions, income tax, national insurance etc.
- Running multiple payrolls
- Payroll software management
- Adhering to payroll policies
- Completing payroll reports
- Plus many other tasks
For this role, the client is seeking CV's with aspects of the following skill sets:
- Previous payroll experience within a payroll agency / solutions business
- Experienced in PAYE, CIS and Umbrella Payments
- Knowledge and experience of Sage payroll / My Digital / Octopaye would be highly beneficial
- Experienced working with high volume & frequency payrolls within construction & recruitment would be excellent
- A solid understanding of pensions, salary sacrifice and auto enrolment
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Able to commit to a permanent office role based in Harrow, North West London, with initially x1 day a week working from home during the early stages of the role.
The role will be working Monday to Friday with working hours of either 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm and the client is looking to offer a salary dependent on experience of between £45,000 to £55,000 per annum plus additional benefits on offer, such as a car allowance,plus many others.
