We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Administrator to manage all business administration internally to develop and promote Clinical Genomics. The post holder will manage communication and implementation of key initiatives, working with stakeholders to manage different priorities to timescales required. The role requires a proactive approach, flexibility and the ability to manage changing priorities. The post holder will provide excellent customer service, acting as a point of contact for any service issues related to commercial contracts and create/maintain all the necessary databases as required. A key role will be ensuring commercial activity is audited and income is monitored and reported, ensuring relevant budgets accurately reflect income. The post holder will assist in the training of staff in relation to the commercial database processes, optimising data recording and collation as well as provide supervisory support to colleagues with commercial queries.

The post holder needs to develop excellent working relationships with users, devising ways to assess user needs and to collate and distribute information relating to commercial activities. Good communication and team working are essential.

The successful applicant must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience e.g. business administration and have experience of business administration duties.

A key role, as directed by Head of Commercial Development will be ensuring income related to private patient referrals, research trials and commercial contracts is monitored regularly, ensuring relevant budgets accurately reflect income. Alongside this the postholder will be expected to produce and present reports for monitoring commercial activity. The post holder will also provide supervisory support where delegated to support colleagues with queries, as well as training staff in relation to the commercial activities.
The Department aims to provide a high-quality and timely diagnostic service and the post holder will play an important role in ensuring that the needs of service users are met. The post holder needs to develop excellent working relationships with users, devising ways to assess user needs and to collate and distribute information relating to commercial activities.
