Citizens Advice Hounslow is a renowned respectable charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow providing free confidential advice to over 10,000 clients a year. All this has been possible thanks to the amazing work of our volunteers and staff. The Volunteer Coordinator & Trainer role is fundamental to ensure we keep recruiting and training volunteers to be able to help as many local people as possible, as well as creating opportunities for people to build their skills by volunteering for us.

We are seeking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator & Trainer with a background in the welfare advice sector who will:

- Recruit, interview and select new volunteers
- Provide quality and comprehensive training sessions based on the Citizens Advice learning programme covering all the main advice areas
- Mentor and support trainees through observations, records of learning, file reviews and one to one meetings
- Provide refresher training
- Develop staff and volunteers identify training needs on specific areas, devising individual plans as well as sourcing external training for specialised courses
- Coordinate assessment activities and make final decisions on competencies
- Utilise quality scores, call recordings and case notes marked for corrective action to identify training needs of advisers
- Check and update scripts, case note templates, crib sheets and create other useful materials
- If required when not training, help supervise volunteers during advice sessions
