**National Account Manager - Timber Doors**
Job Title: National Account Manager - Timber Doors
Industry Sector: National Builders Merchants, Timber & Builders Merchants, Independent Buying Groups, National Accounts, Door Specialists
Area to be covered: National
Remuneration: £55,000 + £7,250-£10,875 Bonus
Benefits: £550 Car Allowance + full benefits package
The role of the National Account Manager - Timber Doors will involve:
- Field sales National Account Management position
- Selling predominantly internal timber doors and internal door sets
- Responsible for three national merchant accounts (Wolseley, Jewson and Magnet) and five independent buying groups (Fortis, NBG, IBC, CBA and H&B)
- Managing assigned merchant channel national accounts both from a central head office and regional operating level
- Responsible for a £32m ledger
- Inheriting a portfolio currently performing well against budget expectation
- Analytical and data driven role
- Develop accounts through expanding current ranges, promotional planning and marketing support (looking at cost reductions, driving efficiencies, trading agreements etc)
- Delivering all net budgeted sales, you will be targeted against volume, value, margin and price increases
- In conjunction with customer operations, category and procurement teams, develop sales strategies and provide continuous progress updates
- Support full range reviews and implement new product strategies at field level
- Analyse, propose and support negotiations for all tender/ contract negotiations
- Review and maintain annual service level/ supply chain agreements at head office level
The ideal applicant will be a National Account Manager - Timber Doors:
- Must have managed national accounts with builders merchants or buying groups
- Open on building product backgrounds, knowledge of timber doors is not essential as full product training will be provided
- Strong negotiation skills, analytical capability and data driven
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience working with operations, category and procurement teams
- Ability to think on your feet / think outside the box
- Self starter, loads of energy, proactive approach and can do attitude
- Ability to present strategies to a widely varying audience
- Prepared to travel extensively within the UK
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
