Finance Business Partner Cash Forecasting & Working Capital

Why this job is important

This position will be focused on Net Working Capital (NWC), working with countries to drive improvements, monitoring progress, produce monthly reporting. Leading the delivery of the weekly cash forecast for the EMEA region including monitoring, understanding, accuracy and consolidation. The role will support Group Treasury on various aspects of the Group cash forecast. The role requires a strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, excellent financial, accounting and analytical skills, strong communication skills, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines and complexity of scope.

What you’ll be doing
- Monitor and produce monthly reporting on NWC.
- Reconciliation of working capital balance sheet accounts, understanding monthly movements and obtaining reasons from Finance stakeholders.
- Consolidation of the Group balance sheet movements with commentary for review with Senior Finance leadership team.
- Working with local finance teams on accurate presentation on Net Working Capital accounts.
- Review and as necessary challenge the cash forecasts, together with the past forecasting accuracy, with the view to continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Regional Controller to understand, share issues, highlight concerns and drive areas for improvement.
- Understand the cash pooling and liquidity structures across the Group, which countries take part in cash pooling and how this works.
- Support Group Treasury in producing a Group weekly cash forecast.
- Support countries and Group Treasury with identifying surplus cash opportunities and ensuring they are transferred to the centre.
- Work with the counties to identify/implement opportunities for improvement in NWC and monitor progress against targets. Ensure adherence to NWC rules.
- Monitor and produce monthly reporting on NWC.
- Ensure timely delivery of weekly cash forecast for the EMEA countries to a high standard and level of accuracy. Ensure timely review of the EMEA Region ahead of the Global submission.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the cash forecasting process, including the systems and tools in use, processes, and country specifics (e.g. factoring). Ensure the methodology used by each country to forecast cash is sound and consistent.
- Work with the Country Controllers and Kantar Business Services (KBS) to ensure that cash forecast is robust and reflects all material planned cash flows. Ensure the Country Controllers / KBS are connecting with the Country Business Partner(s) to gain insight into any plans that involve cash flows to or from the business. Ensure the Country Controllers / KBS understand the importance of accuracy and timely delivery.
- Support countries / KBS on forecasting for factoring, monitor progress and where behind target, work with countries to identify opportunities for improvement.

The skills & experience you’ll need.
- Experience with cash flow and cash forecasting
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management and accounting
- Confident in situations of challenge/conflict and ability to reach resolution
- Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
- Accountable and follows through on commitments, even in challenging circumstances.
- PQE > 3 years
- Qualified accountant
- Degree level education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in English
- Operated in complex matrix environment and able to inspire confidence at the centre whilst working collaboratively with the local business to help them be successful in the market
- Knowledge of factoring
- Experience of working in professional services or similar industry
