St John's Wood, United Kingdom Aster Group Full time

**Who We Are**

At Central & Cecil Housing Trust (C&C), part of Aster Group, we provide affordable homes across Greater London. The majority of C&C customers are over 55 and live in our specialist sheltered housing schemes, however we also have a portfolio of general needs properties and agency managed schemes.

At Aster Group what we do enables better lives. We provide safety and security through a range of housing and services. We will continue to grow so we can maximise our impact. Our strengths are our people and our culture.

This role will sit within the Aster Group Financial Wellbeing team and will provide a dedicated service to our C&C customers in London.

**Your Role**

You will effectively engage with our customers to enable them to maximise their income, ensuring they can sustain their tenancy.

You’ll provide digital support to our customers to help them gain confidence; enabling customers to confidently access and manage welfare benefits online.

You’ll work with our partners, local support agencies and local authorities, to signpost customers to ensure there is a coordinated approach to money, employment, and training.

We try to empower our customers to be virtual first however, you may need to carry out visits to support customers in their homes or other meeting places, so being happy to travel across the London region is a must. This is a hybrid role so when not on appointments you can base yourself from home or our central London office whichever is your preference.

**About You**

You will have a knowledge of welfare benefit legislation including legacy and disability benefits and have a good understanding of universal credit.

You’ll be a people person, someone who is able to share their knowledge of benefit and employment advice with those that really need it. You’ll always strive for the best outcome and will go the extra mile to ensure those that need support receive it.

You will be experienced in working with challenging and vulnerable customers.

Being a team player will be really important to you but being able to work independently won’t phase you as the role will require you to work in a number of ways. You will be highly motivated and resilient, and capable of managing a busy workload and prioritising competing demands.

The ability to travel within London is essential. Travel to other Aster Group regional offices may be required on occasion.
