Overview:

- Do you have specialty or commercial claims handling experience? We have an exciting opportunity within our Property claims team.

Our Junior Claims Handlers are responsible for the day-to-day support of the department, and management of claims assigned to them, ensuring a high standard of service within their designated authority. They aid with a range of activities, including data entry / processing, static claim management, bordereau management, maintaining of records and supporting Senior Handlers / claims management on larger losses.

Progression is very important to us, in this role Learning and Technical development will come through working with senior members of the claims department and, by gaining experience and knowledge through the management of your case load of claims.

**Supported by the Property claims team, you’ll be**:

- Adjusting, assessing, and managing assigned claims within your defined authority
- Ensuring coverage is accurately reviewed and that reserving is correctly set and maintained throughout the claim’s life cycle
- Ensuring that claims are always handled proactively and in accordance with Claims management Guidelines
- Setting file strategies and negotiating settlement in accordance with policy terms
- Ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements always relating to claims handling
- Attending market claims meetings when appropriate
- Assisting senior team members / claims management with large claims or projects
- Undertaking day to day tasks that occur within the claims department, including but not limited to processing of data, producing reports / collating MI, static claim management, bordereau management, maintaining of spreadsheets / databases

**We’d like to hear from you if you have**:

- A good grounding in, and experience of claims handling, ideally Property / First Party focused
- Experience working with specialty or commercial classes of insurance with the Lloyd’s, or London Market
- Awareness, or experience of working closely with lawyers, loss adjusters and other significant service providers
- Awareness of regulatory requirements, including Lloyds minimum standards / Principles
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders at a variety of levels, both internal and external
- Excellent attention to detail, able to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to multi-task and organise your workload to meet deadlines
- The confidence to own your decisions and use commercial awareness to reach them
