The Elvetham Hotel is an elegant country house hotel in Hampshire, rich in history and set in 35 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel is one of the most historic sites in Hampshire entwined in the British Royal Family. The site can be traced back to as early as the 800's AD. Today the Estate consists of 91 bedrooms shared between the Main House and The Stables, as well as four unique and flexible function rooms.

Join our team as an Events Specialist and become the driving force behind unforgettable experiences at the Elvetham Hotel. This role is Maternity cover starting end of July.

As a key member of our dedicated Sales team, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of meeting and event organising, ensuring an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.

In this dynamic position, you will serve as the ambassador for the Elvetham Hotel, harnessing your passion for organising events and creating lasting memories. From the moment an inquiry is received, you will expertly handle every detail, from conducting viewings to meticulously planning and coordinating each event. Whether it's an intimate gathering or a grand affair, you will have the opportunity to showcase our enchanting country grounds, stunning interiors, and captivating original features that never fail to impress.
What we offer
- £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, based on experience

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To receive enquiries and take the appropriate follow up action necessary to convert this to a ‘sale’.
- Handle all meeting and events enquiries and bookings, offering a personal, friendly, and attentive service.
- To ensure that all enquiries are responded to within four hours of receipt, making sure clients receive the correct information requested in a clear and well-presented manner.
- Ensure all contracts, deposits and event details are handled efficiently and within deadlines wherever possible.
- To quote according as per hotel guidelines, ensuring information is correctly entered into the system to support accurate forecasting.
- To ensure all data on accounts and guests profiles are correct and up to date in C&B
- Handle Meetings & Event enquiries and liaise with the Booking Services Manager and Director of Sales to optimise the meeting room revenue potential for the hotel.
- As a member of the Conference & Events team, maximise conversion and revenue for rooms and meeting room sales.
- To be involved in sales activities if required, to ensure the successful launch and continued business success of the hotel.
- Conduct client site inspections and appointments demonstrating a high level of product knowledge and awareness.
- Liaise with the Operations team making sure all events operate efficiently meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction wherever possible.
- Distribute the function sheets on a weekly basis, ensuring any updates and further amendments are communicated swiftly and accurately.
- Clearly communicating all client requirements to all relevant team members and departments.
- Organise and order any additional equipment requirements to ensure clients’ needs and requirements are met.

**Key Requirements**:
You will be a positive, enthusiastic, and resourceful individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to plan, prioritise, multitask and self-manage, without constant supervision. Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are also key requirements of the role.
Previous Meeting & Events sales experience is desirable, along with a proactive approach, strong drive for results and a track record of achievement, along with the ability to network at all levels.
