Description

Bletchley Park’s public and private events programmes are intended to enhance the reputation and generate much needed revenue. The role will help shape and deliver the offer to the highest standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Events Managers, to help plan, co-ordinate and deliver the events at Bletchley Park and to provide support within the Bookings team, as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date event planners.
- Liaise with relevant teams onsite to prepare for events including catering, visitor services, caretaking, and site works, etc.
- Participate in internal meetings to help prepare for events and ensure timely delivery of event information.
- Support with the preparation of event risk assessments.
- Assist Event Managers with the preparation and writing of post-event reports, including visitor feedback and analysis.
- Provide support for special events onsite, as needed.
- Become proficient in BPs systems related to Bookings and Events: telephone, Teams, Gamma, and Outlook.
- Successfully complete training in First Aid, Fire Warden and any other H&S courses required to support the events programme.

Entry requirements

Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/c or above

Training to be provided

Events Technician - Level 3
- Product knowledge and terminology including the theory surrounding chosen specialisms such as sound, light and video.
- Understand planning processes required to deliver a live event and the importance of eliminating errors that can prove costly on site.
- Selection of the correct tools and equipment for tasks.
- Electricity and Temporary Electrical Supplies; theory, practice and safety.
- Understand Management Structures within event environment, site etiquette and culture, including on site communication and interdependencies between departments.
- Working knowledge of stock control, warehousing, storage, logistics and transportation.
- Knowledge of First Aid and Health & Safety including manual handling, work at height, noise, working hours & fatigue and related legislation.
- Knowledge of the environmental impact of live events and how it is managed.
- Lifting operations; theory and practice.
- A clear understanding of the sectors within the live events industry.
