**Meeting and Events Sales Office Manager needed**
SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit a **Meeting and Events Sales Office Manager**, for one of Lincoln's most luxurious hotels. This employer is well-known for being one of the worlds leading hotel and resort providers.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Maximise Meeting & Events revenue through effective diary management, commercial pricing & the setting of selling strategies.
- Manage the allocation of all space used for Meeting & Events business
- Monitor, record and report on competitor pricing, facilities, and activities
- To support and input into departmental reports as required to support Business Review & Commercial Meetings for ongoing business analysis
- Support accurate financial forecasts and budgeting processes
- Ensure an effective activity chase process is followed
- Ensure the pro-active follow-up of all business, referrals and potential sales leads
- Conduct and co-ordinate site inspections/show-rounds to fulfil customer's expectations
- Attend, host and co-ordinate client entertaining events as required, supported by the Director of Sales.
- Ensure the accurate entry of data in all systems and business tools
- Ensure all definite business contracts are in line with company terms and conditions
- Manage definite business to establish sufficient payment/credit facilities in line with the company credit policy
- Recruit and manage Meeting & Events Team to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge
- Drive high levels of employee engagement
- Conduct monthly 1:1's, mid & annual year reviews for team members
- Create and sign off team rotas and time sheets
- Input into training and development plans and procedures with Director of M&E Sales
- Ensure the Meeting & Events Sales Team work in synergy with all Operations and Sales/Commercial Teams
- Accurately communicate all meetings and events booking details throughout the hotel
- Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly hotel Operations Meetings/reviews
- Liaise with the reservations & revenue department for accommodation availability, room requirements and co-ordination of rooming lists
- Ensure the hotels Meeting & Events facilities and services are accurately merchandised and marketed in line with company brand standards
- Working with DOSM to produce offers to support business needs and pipeline opportunities
- Monitor and work with operations to deliver excellent customer service throughout the customer journey
- Manage customer feedback, dealing with complaints to ensure the highest levels of problem resolution is achieved
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with the Hilton Global M&E Team & M&E Agents
- Attend all monthly calls, meetings, training & workshops as required
- Ensure a timely response to all RFP's and hotel specific data requests
- Action all reporting deadlines/submission dates
**Person specification for Meeting and Events Sales Office Manager**:
- Organised and efficient worker.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritise workload.
- IT literate with experience using on-line systems and word packages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to strike the right balance, professional and approachable.
- Confident, previous experience around meeting and events management.
- People management experience, able to support and develop direct reports.
- Ability to use diary management and other events management systems effectively.
