FGR Community plays an important role in reducing barriers to participation and creating opportunities to be active. The Fan Engagement officer will assist with the smooth running of the FGR Community Ambassador programme and support colleagues in making a genuine difference in the community. Every year, we recruit a team of young ambassadors to spread the word about what it’s like supporting FGR and all the great things we do on and off the pitch, while also helping the young ambassadors to benefit from valuable life experiences alongside their support of the football club. You will ensure that all data collection, reporting, communication and stakeholder management tasks are delivered in an accurate, timely and professional manner.

**Recruitment and Training**:
- Lead the annual recruitment process for young ambassadors, identifying individuals who embody the values of FGR. Ensuring that all recruitment practices adhere to safeguarding principles and prioritise the well-being of potential ambassadors.
- Register and maintain records of all ambassadors with strict adherence to data protection and manage and coordinate any benefits/incentives offered on registration.
- Conduct training sessions to equip ambassadors with the knowledge and skills required to effectively represent the club.
**Community Outreach**:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase FGR's visibility within the community through Ambassador-led initiatives. Collaborate with local schools and colleges to expand the ambassador programme and foster relationships with educational institutions.**Event Coordination**:
- Plan and coordinate events, both on and off match days to actively engage the community and promote FGR's initiatives.
- Facilitate the participation of Ambassadors in various events to maximize their impact and outreach.
**Communication and Reporting**:
- Maintain regular communication with Ambassadors, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Generate reports on the success and impact of community engagement initiatives to assess the effectiveness of the programme.
- Promote the work and impact of the programme with Community Partners, the wider fanbase and other stakeholders.
**Safeguarding**:
- Implement and oversee safeguarding policies and procedures within the Ambassador programme, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants.
- Regularly review and update safeguarding practices in accordance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Act as a safeguarding focal point to Ambassadors and promptly address any safeguarding concerns or incidents.
- Collaborate within the broader organisation and perform tasks as needed to ensure the realisation of the organisation's strategic goals.
Evening and weekend work where required.
Full UK driving licence.
- Part time - 30 hours per week (club full time hours are 40 per week).**Safeguarding Statement**

- FA First Aid or willing to work towards (Essential)
- FA Safeguarding or willing to work towards (Desirable)
- Experience with event planning and coordination. (Desirable)
- Previous experience in community outreach or fan engagement. (Desirable)
- FA Introduction to Coaching (Desirable)
- D1 Minibus Driving Licence (Desirable)
