**Team information**:
The are five regional mainline teams, broadly coincident with Network Rail’s regions. The teams carry out inspections, investigations, enforcement and liaison with Network Rail regions and routes, mainline train operating companies, station operators, and operators of track machines (‘yellow plant’). The Scotland mainline team also covers the non-mainline Glasgow Subway operation.

**Job description**:
**Job Purpose**:
**The Scotland Office Executive is a role within the railway safety directorate Scotland mainline team that provides a wide range of administrative support for Glasgow-based staff, up to Director level, working in all ORR directorates. Activities include organising meetings and conferences and engagement with stakeholders and duty holders. As well as supporting ORR’s Scotland staff and teams, the role encompasses other office management activities including facilities, finance, and IT matters, representing ORR with landlords and suppliers. The role will require you to travel to other ORR offices and locations outside of Scotland and you will potentially be away from Scotland for more than one day at a time.**
