Our client is an independent charity that aims to inspire and enable social action to improve people’s quality of life. They have a strong vision & success of bringing people together, whilst also developing innovative approaches and delivering improvedoutcomes. Their **vision**is for a less unequal society. Their **ambition** is to use their efforts and influence to reduce inequalities and increase opportunities.

Our client is now on the lookout for an Engagement Officer who will be responsible for assisting members of the public, recruiting volunteers, leading and assisting planning and execution of events among other duties.

**Duties (include but are not limited to)**
- Providing assistance to visitors to access information and activities to support their health & wellbeing
- Liaising with external organisations who may wish to hire rooms
- Lead and assist with the planning and implementation of events
- Use databases to record and report on outcomes
- Recruiting, inducting and supervising volunteers

**Person Specification**
- A passion for helping people
- A "can do" attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Empathy and emotional resilience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility with working hours and location
- Proven knowledge of IT systems/databases
- This role would suit someone who has the resilience to deal with complex and sometimes challenging situations.
