Due to the retirement of long-term staff and the expansion of the Accounts team, we have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking at developing a career in the sustainability sector. Based in our offices in Mitcham, this is an opportunity to work directly with our Group Accountant, provide outstanding service, and make an impact every day.

The role is a hybrid office-based, working from home with the initial expectation of 4 days based out of the office.

This role will allow you to grow and develop while making a real difference to internal and external teams. At Bio Collectors, we don’t believe in can’t we look for solutions before offering a negative. 13 years ago, our founder, Paul killoughery, created Bio Collectors to tackle the growing food waste problem. His answer was to build a processing plant powered by food, and we now power our fleet of collection vehicles from the gas we produce from the food we collect. **Job brief**

We are looking for an exceptional administrator and energetic person with a passion for problem-solving to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

You will serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about billing and invoices

**Responsibilities**
- Maintaining purchase ledger - The roles main responsibilities include input and maintenance of a high transactional purchase ledger including statement reconciliation. Processing of purchase orders and purchase invoices
- Analysing credit cards and expenses
- Maintaining sales ledger - the role main responsibility include raising sales invoices, credit notes and chasing debtors
- Payroll administrations
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and colleagues to resolve queries
- completing routine clerical and accounting tasks
- Check data accuracy in orders and invoices.
- Contact clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
- Liaise with the internal departments to ensure timely billing and accuracy
- Ensure KPIs are met and report any deviations

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Finance Assistant
- Hands-on experience with software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Experience of small accounting packages such as XERO, Sage 50 etc
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- A team player with a high level of dedication
- Ability to work under strict deadlines

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
