Planning and Organisational Tasks Take responsibility for day to day planning and prioritisation of workload to Feb 2023 ensure that the departments needs are met. To work closely with the MDT Coordinators to facilitate weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, using video conferencing link where required. Maintain and improve electronic filing systems. Ensure all relevant information and results are available for patient treatment planning.

To understand the management plans and initiate the implementation of recommendations as required. This will include chasing appointments etc. To discuss with the clinical team any patient pathways that the coordinator is uncertain of. To ensure all patients are discussed at the MDT at appropriate points of the patient pathway.

To update cancer tracking daily. Refer patients in a timely manner to other hospitals and treatment centres as per the local referral policy. Informing referral centres of the appropriate cancer waiting time target for the patient pathway. Post holder is responsible for ensuring that all local and national cancerdatasets are entered into the electronic patient record accurately and within the agreed timescales.

To ensure all appointments/investigations are acted upon.
