Carmarthen, United Kingdom Nationwide Building Society Full time

**Contract Type**: Permanent
- **Ref**: R00BN08088
- **Closing Date**:13 July 2023

It is an important role within the branch, and we are the gateway to protecting and looking after our members working closely as a team.

We need a **Multi Skilled Member Representative** for our branch in **Carmarthen.**

**This role is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.**

Your training will be held at one of our Nationwide Hubs across the UK, your travel and accommodation will be paid for.

Our training pathway is designed to ensure you are successful in your role and the first 3 weeks are really important to your career journey with us. With this in mind, within those first few weeks, we ask that no holiday is taken.

**What you’ll be doing**:
What is important is to know every branch is different, and we are all in this together working to have the best version of our branches

What can’t a Multi-Skilled Member Representative do This is the great part about this role, it’s so versatile. There is an opportunity to work on the counter completing transactions and educating members on our digital services and easier ways to bank with us. **A large part of the role will be dealing with Member queries though our various channels including online and via the phone.**

We build up our knowledge day in day out to ensure we can answer all our members queries. They are the most important part of our day.

**About you**:
We’re not just looking for your experience and skills. We’re also interested in who you are as a person. Why? Because our members are made up of so many different kinds of people and we want our employees to be just as diverse.

Are you someone who really does want to make a difference for our members? Working for a building society you will have the opportunity to change someone’s life for the better. You’ll take care of our members/customers from guiding them through online banking to discussing our range of services whilst adapting our style to suit all our member’s needs. You need to be comfortable using digital tools, apps and a desktop/laptop computer.

We are the front line in protecting our members, building our society.

**The extras you’ll get**:
We have a range of employee benefits, including:

- Access to an annual performance related bonus
- 25 days holiday, pro rata
- Up to two days paid volunteering a year
- Access to training to help you develop and progress your career
- A large selection of additional benefits to choose from including discounts on tech products, healthcare, retail vouchers, and travel
- Life assurance worth 8x your salary
- A personal pension - if you put in 7% of your salary, we’ll top up by a further 16%

**Why work at Nationwide**:
We’re different from other financial service providers. We’re a building society, owned by our members. And for over 130 years, we’ve supported those members to make the most of their money and achieve what they want from life.

That’s reflected in the way we work here at Nationwide. We come together to make sure we’re doing things in the best way possible, both for each other and for our members. If you join us, you’ll be part of that. You’ll be able to help us build something really quite special. And you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference.

As a mutual organisation, we are guided by a social purpose which we interpret as ‘building society, nationwide’. A key element of fulfilling this purpose is employing a mix of people that reflect the wider communities that we serve.

On top of that, we always want you to be yourself. To use your skills and experience to make our Society stronger. To feel valued for who you are, not just what you do. Because here at Nationwide, we understand that we can do more together than we ever could alone.
