Due to the growing of our business, we are now recruiting for an “Accounting & Admin Assistant ” to join our creative workforce located in Basildon (Essex).

For a FULL-TIME position, you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting functions of a limited company whilst providing office support in a variety of forms as well as carrying out general PA and administrative duties for the MD.

It can also be a part-time role working either as accounting assistant or as an Office Administrator individually; Monday to Friday (hours can be flexible - to suit school hours etc);
Your responsibilities will include:
**Job Specification**:

- Reconciliation and preparation of the quarterly VAT returns, and report to our outsourced accounting agency who will submit the VAT returns to HRMC.
- Reconciliation of the Company's bank account with the concessions / wholesale / website retail weekly incomes
- Managing payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring timely bills, supplier payments made
- Payroll - including holiday pay records, monthly journals, payments to staff etc
- Subcontractor payments and returns
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Proceeding refunds & credits
- Assist in Year-End accounts preparation
- Provide office support including answering the phone, filing, general administrative duties and assist the Directors as and when required
- Assisting recruiting and arranging interviews, arranging staffs job reviews and weekly meetings.
- Must be confident liaising with external sources such as the company accountant, solicitor, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Preliminary drafting of correspondence on the manager's behalf
- Delegating work in the manager's absence
- Sourcing and ordering stationery and office equipment

**Package**:Full time: 40 hours per week £24,000 to £30,000 per annual depending on experience & Qualifications ** 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) pro-rata
- **Part time: 8 to 24 hours per week Monday to Friday (hours can be flexible - to suit school hours etc);**:

- Onsite parking

Requirements: ACCA part qualified Bookkeeping: 2 years’ experience (required)
- Sage or other Accounting Software: 2 years’ experience (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple varied and complex projects.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
