**The role will include**: Using knowledge of the market and supplier relationships to improve quality standards of a designated group of care and support providers required to meet the needs of clients funded by social care and health. Communicating and negotiating with the supplier market to implement new contracts where there is an identified need and to ensure high quality care is provided at the best possible price for the Council and ICB. Working in partnership with the key professionals who are involved in the care and support of the vulnerable service users. Reporting and managing any issues relating to suppliers, including any quality concerns.

Responding to written and telephone enquiries from a range of stakeholders in relation to care providers, including, social care and Health professionals (e.g. Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Continuing Health Care Nurses, discharge teams, hospital clinicians), other internal colleagues including commissioning staff, legal, finance and procurement. Maintaining accurate and succinct records throughout, including inputting provider information into the councils Contracts database. Following and implementing the Councils Provider Concerns and Suspensions Policy Responding to complaints regarding care and support providers Undertaking Quality Monitoring visits to providers and managing oversight of improvement plans Compiling detailed reports and responding to requests for information from senior managers within set deadlines Analysing data Leading on resolving financial queries relating to providers
