**Programme Administrator**

Adecco are currently recruiting for a**Programme Administrator** to join a prestigious university based in Houghton.

**Roles and responsibilities**

**Planning and organising**
- Undertaking all aspects of relevant programme administration including: examination and assessment administration; coordinating the orientation programme and preparation of induction materials; updating course information on the virtual learning environment,department website and department documentation and maintaining student records.
- Leading on student engagement and experience initiatives and events.
- Liaising with the central admissions team to advise the Deputy Department Manager and Programmes Manager on student recruitment matters

**Teamwork and motivation**
- Contributing actively and positively to the Professional Services Team and to the Department, actively contributing at team meetings.
- Organising and taking responsibility for own workload.
- Proactively contributing to and supporting implementation of best practice developments, including developing innovative solutions to issues.

**Initiative and problem solving**
- Managing own workload with mínimal supervision, and taking responsibility for advising academic staff and colleagues of upcoming deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Exercising initiative in the development of the programmes in relation to their agreed objectives.
- Responding proactively to feedback from staff and students, raising concerns or escalating where appropriate.

**Liaison and networking**
- Liaising with other university divisions and departments e.g. Library, Student Services, Timetables and Careers Services to ensure the smooth operation of department processes.
- Establishing effective networks within the School or externally that support the processes involved in delivering the programmes.
- To represent the Department at student facing events as required, including presenting information at induction sessions.
- Establishing and developing relations with alumni with the objective of enhancing their engagement with the Department.
