- Mechanical and electrical locking fitters maintain 468 signal boxes and 387 ground frames.
- Operational property helpdesk process over 200,000 calls.

Main Responsibilities
This role is working within the Fleet and Engineering Business Support team, we deliver services and goods which support our primary Supply Chain Operations delivery functions such as rail vehicles and plant.

You will be responsible for assisting with the administration and management of a range of key suppliers across your department to deliver parts, materials and services to deliver the infrastructure renewal fleets who work tirelessly to renew and maintain the network infrastructure.

You will work within a team procuring and contract managing ordering across three lines, Goods, Services and Repairable parts, including expediting of timely orders and reconciling invoice queries to ensure suppliers are paid on time. You will ensure the supplier is providing the required goods and services to the correct specifications and timescales and are working to the contracted terms and timelines.

You will liaise with the suppliers and engineering teams, you will be the key contact for our customers and with the suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless delivery to ensure our fleets go out to work on time and perform. You will be ensure that the suppliers are meeting their Key Performance Indicators within the contracts and raising issues back to the Contract Management team where the supplier is failing to meet their targets.

You should have good working knowledge of Excel and ideally experience using databases ie Maximo or Oracle.
1. Support the management of supply chain contracts to achieve the most cost effective
delivery of goods and services.

2. Collate data on all transactions incurred in delivering contracts. Investigate and
reconcile transactions and costs as part of an end to end process

3. Develop effective relationships with customers and suppliers. Develop and maintain
processes for effective query resolution

4. Support the team as required, to deliver a comprehensive service to the business areas.

5. Provide data, analysis and commentary for management reports.

6. Assist in supporting the timely collection of business unit commercial information and
payment of business unit creditors.

7. Assist in identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvement
