Blossom House is an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” specialist school for children aged 5 -19 years of age with speech, language and communication difficulties. The School is rapidly expanding; we are therefore looking to appoint a permanent HR Administrator to join our small and friendly team.

**What the role involves**:
The HR Administrator will join our small, friendly HR Team in providing a high quality, efficient HR service for the school. This is a customer-focused role to provide high volume and fast-paced effective administrative support across the HR function with particular focus on recruitment administration, employee records, absence recording, and operational HR administration**.**

- Be proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel and ideally have experience of using databases.
- Understand and respect sensitivity of HR information and employee records and ensure confidentiality of all written and verbal communications.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- **Recruitment Administration**_
- Liaising with colleagues regarding interview schedules and organising interviews.
- Collating interview notes and observation sheets after interviews.
- Sending regret letters or calling applicants as appropriate.
- Maintaining recruitment records appropriate to retention policy.
- Chasing references.
- Administering and recording applicant DBS checks, overseas police checks and letters of good standing.
- Recording relevant ID and qualification documentation on the register.
- **Single Central Register (staff database)**_
- Key person for accurate inputting and maintenance of the staff database.
- **Temps, students, contractors and volunteers**_
- Recording safeguarding checks and maintaining records of all temps, students, contractors and volunteers.
- **On-boarding and induction**_
- Prepare induction packs.
- **Training Administration**_
- Maintain staff database with regard to completed training.
- Book staff training courses and co-ordinate training agreements.
- **Filing and stationary**_
- Maintain stationary stock for the office.
- Prepare blank personnel files and contract packs.
- Daily filing and shredding.
- Personnel File archiving/shredding.
- **HR Correspondence**_
- Providing references for past colleagues.
- Chasing proof of address, marriage certificates etc for existing colleagues whose circumstances change.
- **Accounts Administration**_
- Administrating the termly colleague wellbeing allowance.
- **HR Administration Projects**_
- Organising annual suitability checks, recording data and following up where required.
- Administering and recording existing employee update DBS checks.
- Assisting with yearly pay and bonus letters.
- **Other duties**_
- To attend staff meetings and INSET, as required.
- To be flexible and carry out any such other duties as may be reasonably required and directed by the HR Manager, Officer and Principal.
