Fleet Administrator

- What you will be doing
- Reporting to the Lead Fleet Controller, this role will ensure that the Alliance Healthcare (and associated partners’) vehicle fleets are managed consistently and operated in the most efficient manner, minimising costs whilst delivering the required levels of customer service and legislative compliance. Supporting strategy development, creating the customer value proposition, developing the communications plan and providing project leadership.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Work as part of the wider fleet team to support the Lead Fleet Controller
2. Ensure that all appropriate transport costs are allocated correctly and processed in time for business deadlines. Key processes to be defined and developed ensuring adherence
3. Ensure the required levels of legislative compliance is maintained
4. Support the processing of Fleet invoices, with a combined value of £2m per month
5. Support the continuous improvement of processes within the Fleet Administration function.
6. Ensuring the validation of all supplier invoices
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Highly self-motivated with a focussed approach to deadlines and detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with good data manipulation abilities
- Ability to work in a fast changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- General knowledge and awareness of the Alliance Healthcare and Boots UK supply chains
- Good all round financial and commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 343/01) which is reflected in our SOP - REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher.

- Essential Requirements:
- Strong understanding and experience of all legislation relating to fleet management and operations.
- Effective planning, organisation, and delegation skills
Additional Information:
- This is an office-based role but will involve some travel to Alliance Healthcare and supplying partner sites.
- Some limited overnight stays away from home location may be required.
