We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team in East Kilbride.

**The Role**

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger within a busy finance function. Responsible for drafting and updating financial spreadsheets, reviewing and reconciling bank statements, and working across the business - they will ensure the financial health of the organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reconciling supplier invoices to purchase orders
- Posting purchase ledger invoices and credit notes on the ledger and keying costs to the P&L
- Liaising with external suppliers and internal depts
- Preparation of payment runs to suppliers
- Month end statement reconciliation

**Skills and Attributes Required**

The successful individual will have experience of working in a busy finance team and have ideally been involved in accounts payable. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and will be able to build efficient working relationships with non-finance stakeholders within the organisation. Furthermore, you should be able to demonstrate:

- Eagerness to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactivity and ability and able to show initiative
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Business Central (preferred, not essential)
- Experience working with Microsoft software
- Strong communication and organisation skills
