HR Coordinator

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week, predominately Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with need for flexibility to support out of hours services on evening and weekends Salary: £28,500 per annum, with progression to £31,500 per annum (upon successful achievement of pay progression criteria) Location: Hybrid working with a requirement for some travel to national services and Central Support Office in Sunderland This post is fixed term for 6 months About us Mental Health Matters (MHM) is a national charity with 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality mental health and social care services. It is an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow and expand our organisation. About the role This newly created role to underpin an established People team. You will work with our People Business Partner and Advisors in the delivery of change projects and case work.
The role will be responsible for coordinating a number of prioritises, ensuring that the people team have the advisory and administrative support they require. We provide an efficient, effective and customer-oriented people service and you will need to have a people focused approach. You will also support with other aspects of the employee life cycle, and be competent at managing a number of people priorities and processes simultaneously. You must be able to quickly adapt to a changing situations, and work at pace to ensure projects meet the required timescales.
About you You will have solid understanding of employment law, be able to work independently and use your initiative to make well informed decisions and proactively solve problems. You will need to be able to build positive relationships quickly and have the ability and confidence to build credibility and trust with a range of stakeholders, advising with confidence on people processes. This role will predominately focus on change projects and case management, therefore you must have experience of supporting consultative processes and employee relations, including but not limited to; TUPE, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance processes. You will have good attention to detail, be IT literate and provide sound well informed employment advice.
