Core purpose of this role is to coordinate key risk and governance activities across the Bupa insurance business. Reporting results to Management and/or stakeholders to ensure we proactively comply with regulatory requirements and are managing risks appropriately.

Where required SMART actions defined are agreed with relevant stakeholders for remediation, and then tracked until completed.

The Risk & Governance Lead will work with management to deliver Executive reporting and drive continuous improvement of the Risk and governance frameworks and ensure they maintain high standards of record keeping, data quality and stakeholder management.

**You’ll help us make health happen by**:

- Providing challenge and overseeing other Control & Governance risk registers, risk assessment and assisting with clear action plans for out of target/appetite
- Ownership of the Control & Standards risk register, regularly assessing risks and controls, and developing clear action plans for out of target/appetite risks
- Create and present quarterly reports to the Director of Control & Governance to provide a summary of the Control & Governance Risk registers
- Manage and overseeing the Bupa Insurance Business Conflicts of Interest register
- Manage and overseeing the Bupa Insurance Regulated Entities Risk Acceptance register and facilitating regular reporting

**Key Skills needed for this role**:

- Experience working in Risk, Governance or Control role, Risk being the most desirable
- Customer focused, understand, and demonstrate an awareness of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles
- Demonstrate influencing skills, comfortable challenging senior stakeholders by providing constructive and evidenced based rationale
- Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to present confidently to varied audiences
